The gate times of both the entry points and the camp gates are the same throughout the park and change 3 times a year. Knowing the camp times can be useful when planning your self-drive safari and they are important to take note of, as you don’t want to be locked out.

Due to the day time temperatures, many guests choose to embark on early morning safaris as well as late afternoon game drives. These are the best times of the day to see wildlife. Once the sun rises and the day heats up, most animals tend to head for shaded areas and will stay out of sight until the late afternoon.
